Plot

In the heartwarming comedy, House Broken, we meet Cathcart, a recently retired firefighter ready to enjoy his golden years. His dream of a tranquil retirement life with his wife is overshadowed by his grown sons, Quinn and Elliot, slackers approaching their thirties who have made their parents' home their permanent nest. With their doting mother catering to their every whim, the boys have no incentive to spread their wings and fly. In a daring attempt to nudge them towards independence, Cathcart whisks his wife away on a camping trip, leaving the boys to fend for themselves in a house stripped of food, money, and even electricity. Thrown into a survival situation, the boys must confront the daunting reality of adulthood. Will they rise to the occasion, secure gainful employment, and finally leave the nest? Or will they dig in their heels, clinging to the comfort of their childhood home? The arrival of unexpected boarders could prove to be the catalyst they need. Meanwhile, their mother, yearning to return and resume her nurturing role, presents another hurdle to their journey towards self-sufficiency. As the plot unfolds, the question remains - can the house, and indeed their family, survive this tumultuous transition?
