Plot

In the heart of Berlin in 1945, the famed Hotel Berlin teems with life as the embers of the Nazi regime flicker out. The hotel's occupants, an eclectic mix of high-ranking Nazi officials, spies, refugees, and everyday Germans, are all grappling with the impending defeat and its inevitable consequences. Each character is locked in a desperate dance with fate, their lives intricately intertwined within the hotel's grand walls. Among them is the enigmatic actress Lisa Dorn, whose alliances with Nazi officers and the regime may mask deeper intentions. Her elegant demeanor and flirtatious interactions belie a complex web of motives and loyalties. Then there's the sly hotel hostess Tillie Weiler, approved by the Gestapo, who uses her charm to extract favors from Nazi officers. Her immediate aspiration is as simple as a new pair of shoes, but her long-term ambitions remain a mystery. In the shadowy corners of the hotel lurks Nazi General Arnim von Dahnwitz, the sole survivor of a failed plot against Hitler. Hungry for mercy from the imminent Allied control, he is torn between loyalty and survival. Other Nazi officers, sensing the nearing end, stealthily move their assets out of the country, either to resurrect the Nazi Party or to ensure a comfortable post-war life. Also residing in this tumultuous microcosm is Dr. Johannes Koenig, a German scientist disillusioned by the horrors of the war. His dreams of working in a free Germany without political interference seem to be slipping away. The hotel also serves as a precarious sanctuary for Martin Richter, a high-ranking member of the German underground who has escaped from the Dachau POW camp. As the Nazis swarm the hotel, Richter must navigate this deadly labyrinth, deciphering friend from foe in his desperate bid for survival. Each character in Hotel Berlin faces their own unique challenges as they navigate the murky waters of a regime in decline. Their fates are bound within the hotel's luxurious confines, where survival is as much a game of chance as it is of strategy.
