In the quiet corners of Romania, a young girl named Sofia dreams of escaping the monotony of her small-town life. Her heart is set on becoming a showgirl, her eyes filled with the glitz and glamour of Italian soap operas that offer a tantalizing glimpse of a life less ordinary. A chance encounter at a local club brings Gabriel into her life, an Eastern European producer who's been living the high life in Rome. The story takes a horrifying turn when Ettore, a sadistic man with a taste for snuff movies, enters the scene.
