Plot

In the heart of Philadelphia, former US Marine Ranger, Max Carver, finds himself behind bars for a high-stakes bank heist, his freedom forfeited but the elusive $20 million still unclaimed. His teenage son, Steven, is thrust into the care of his aunt, Julia Carver, a rising star in the fashion world. In the crosshairs of their past, lies Kurt Warnecke—a music store employee, a former Marine Ranger, Max's best friend, and Julia's old flame. Once united in the rhythm of jazz, their friendship has since been marred by Kurt's perceived betrayal. When Max dispatches a cryptic postcard from his prison cell, it ignites a chain reaction of riddles and clues that hint towards the location of the stashed millions. As the specter of danger looms, Julia, torn between fear and determination, seeks Kurt's help. The enthralling treasure hunt, reminiscent of the games they played in their younger days, spirals into a deadly race against Max's ruthless co-conspirators. These hardened criminals, fueled by greed, pose a lethal threat to Julia, Steven, and anyone aiding them in their quest. As the tension escalates, Julia is confronted with the reality of her estranged brother's life, and her feelings for Kurt rekindle amidst the chaos. With each puzzle piece falling into place, the line between friend and foe blurs, and Julia must navigate the perilous path to the truth. In the end, she may find that things are not always as they seem on the surface. Hidden Crimes is a gripping tale of trust, betrayal, and the lengths one would go to protect their family. With danger lurking at every corner, Julia's courage, cunning, and unlikely alliances are all that stand between them and a deadly fate.
