Herod the Great (1959)

In the tumultuous aftermath of Marco Antonio's defeat, King Herod of Judea, once an ally, embarks on a desperate journey to seek the support of Augustus and the Romans, for his beleaguered kingdom. Entrusting his chief commander and dear friend, Aaron, with a heart-wrenching task - to dispatch his beloved Queen Miriam should he perish - Herod sets forth on his daunting quest. However, the winds of fate blow in an unanticipated direction when Herod, now a captive of the Romans, is rumored to be dead.
