Hero (2002)

Before the era of Imperial China, six separate kingdoms made up the whole of what would become unified China. The most powerful of these kings is Qin, and this status makes him a constant target for assassinations. That makes it all the more surprising when a stranger appears claiming to have killed the three most feared assassins within the land. As he tells the story of his encounter with each, the king begins to suspect the whole truth isn't being told. Is this mysterious stranger an ally, an enemy, or something else altogether? Whatever the case, the story he's telling is clearly not the whole truth.
