Heartless (2009)

In the gritty heart of East London, we find Jamie Morgan, a tormented 25-year-old photographer wrestling with an inner darkness ignited by a disfiguring birthmark that mars his face and shoulder, and the haunting absence of his deceased father. His world, a sordid neighborhood riddled with gang violence and a chilling string of unsolved murders, engulfs him in an atmosphere of palpable dread. Jamie navigates this harrowing reality alongside his cherished mother Marion, while finding solace in the confines of his studio, shared with his brother Ray and his nephew Lee. The arrival of Tia, an aspiring model, stirs a tender affection in Jamie's otherwise bleak existence. However, their lives are irrevocably shattered when a visit to his father's grave spirals into a brutal assault, leaving Marion dead and Jamie's spirit battered. In the aftermath, Jamie finds himself grappling with despair, the murder of his former gang-member neighbor, A.J., and a newfound need for self-defense, leading him to purchase a pistol. Teetering on the brink of despair, Jamie is visited by the dastardly figure of Papa B, the Devil himself, who offers to erase his birthmark in exchange for a mysterious favor. Accepting the Devil's proposal, Jamie trades his soul, plunging himself into a world of chaos and darkness. As he strives to uphold his side of this devilish bargain, Jamie finds himself entangled in a deadly game where his own unique brand of havoc becomes his only currency for survival.
