In the rich tapestry of Parisian academia, brilliant researcher Paul Beaumont stands on the precipice of a groundbreaking discovery that could unravel the secrets of humanity's origins. But as he prepares to unveil his work to the esteemed scientific academy, a treacherous colleague, Baron Regnard, deceitfully claims the credit, condemning Beaumont to the cruel laughter of his peers. The Baron's reappearance thrusts him back into Beaumont's world, presenting an unexpected chance for retribution.
