Plot

In the heart of a grand mansion, nestled within a thriving fashion house, thirty-year-old John Harrington emerges as a respected bridal attire designer. His life, inherited from his late mother, is an amalgam of exquisite bridal creations and a dark secret that cloaks him in mystery. Unbeknownst to the world, Harrington's brilliance is shadowed by the chilling identity of being a self-confessed madman, the unseen puppeteer behind a series of unsettling bridal murders. Driven by an inexplicable compulsion, he eliminates his clients, all newlywed brides, with a cleaver on the eventful night of their nuptials. The remnants of his brutal acts find their end in the incinerator within his greenhouse, leaving no trace of his gruesome deeds. Amid the echoing footsteps in his mind, Harrington finds himself entangled in a web of his own making, unable to comprehend the motive behind his killings. The sudden disappearance of Rosie Miller, his model, leaves him in a quandary. He doesn't recall her mentioning a wedding or the act of killing her, adding to his confusion. To fill the void left by Rosie, he hires Helen Wood, a model who unwittingly steps too close to the fire, threatening his dark secret. As Inspector Russell begins piecing together the puzzle, Harrington becomes the ominous link tying all the murders and disappearances. The investigation tightens around him just as his personal life spirals into chaos. His marriage to Mildred is a dance on broken glass, marred by his sexual inadequacies and her unyielding dissatisfaction. A twist of fate sees him contemplate killing Mildred, only for her to transform into an unwavering specter, vowing never to abandon him, in life or death. "Hatchet for the Honeymoon" is a chilling exploration of a man's unraveling psyche, his descent into madness, and the haunting repercussions of his actions. The fabric of this tale is woven with threads of mystery, suspense, and a touch of the supernatural, leaving audiences on the edge of their seats.
