In a not-so-distant future where corporations reign supreme, we meet Luke Gibson, an ordinary man enmeshed in an extraordinary circumstance. Celebrating his birthday, he is driving his pregnant wife, Veronica, to work when disaster strikes. A rogue truck shatters their peaceful morning, leaving Luke critically injured and his wife and unborn child tragically killed.
