Helena, an ambitious young housewife, teeters on the brink of realizing her dream—launching her own neighborhood grocery store. As she readies herself for this new venture, she employs Paula, a housemaid, to mind her home and young daughter. However, her world takes a sudden turn when her husband, Otavio, an insurance executive, unexpectedly loses his job. With Otavio's unemployment stretching on and his spirit waning, Helena finds herself bearing the weight of their family's future alone. Her dream business struggles to find its footing, piling on the pressure. Amidst this maelstrom, she stumbles upon a worrying discovery—a crumbling brick wall within her building. As Helena grapples with the mounting challenges, she begins to suspect that this disintegrating wall might be a metaphor for her unraveling life.
