In the quaint, steam-filled corners of a Korean spa town, clumsily charming Byung-ki (Cha Tae-hyun) serves as the local policeman. His days are filled with endearing trivialities like handing out promotional papers, all while he secretly yearns to be a beacon of justice, banishing evil. This dream seemingly begins to actualize when his path crosses with Min-kyong (Kim Sun-a), a captivating employee at the neighborhood bowling alley. Struck by love at first sight, Byung-ki embarks on a bumbling quest to win her heart, though his romantic advances often fall on deaf ears.
Meanwhile, the town's notorious gang leader, Sang-doo, also sets his sights on the enchanting Min-kyong. Carrying a long-standing grudge against the gangster from their boyhood days, Byung-ki finds himself in a tense rivalry. Sang-doo, audaciously smitten, promises to claim Min-kyong's virginity on the night of Christmas Eve, which also happens to be her birthday.
As the holiday inches closer, a peculiar love triangle unfolds against the backdrop of this tranquil spa town. Will it be the affable policeman or the audacious gangster who gets to celebrate Christmas and her birthday with Min-kyong?
