Plot

In the shadowy corners of Algiers, Irish patriot 'Citizen' Hogan, a man marked with a bounty and adored by his Foreign Legionaire counterparts, is serving his time. Suddenly, a telegram shatters the monotony, pulling him back to his homeland to restore family honor by eliminating D'Arcy, a money-seeking traitor turned British informer. Meanwhile, in Ireland, the ailing Lord Justice O'Brien, haunted by his reputation as a hanging judge and consumed by self-doubt, stands on the precipice of death. His final act is a desperate attempt to secure his daughter Connaught's future. He orchestrates a marriage between Connaught and the detestable yet wealthy D'Arcy, forcing her to abandon her love for the honorable but impoverished Dermot McDermot. As the threads of fate intertwine, Hogan returns to Ireland, driven by a personal vendetta against D'Arcy—the man responsible for his sister's tragic demise. Amidst the looming shadows of political intrigue and personal vengeance, Hangman's House spins a thrilling narrative of love, betrayal, and retribution.
