Just Mercy (2019)

Bryan Stevenson is one of the most successful civil rights attorneys in the world, but he has one of his most challenging cases ahead of him. After graduating Harvard with no lack of professional opportunities available to him, Stevenson made the choice to move to Alabama and use his talents and knowledge to help free wrongly convicted prisoners. One of his earliest clients is Walter McMillian, who was convicted of murdering a teenager despite spurious evidence. The following years see Stevenson develop his talents and foster a reputation in the community, but he continues to chase the white whale of McMillian's case even as the years roll by.
