In the bleak heart of the Great Depression, when nature's wrath leaves thousands homeless, the realm of Gunsmoke Valley in Arizona becomes a beacon of hope. Yet, beneath this veil of refuge lurks the cunning scheme of the unscrupulous Phineas Flagg. Buying up the devastated ranches for a mere $2 per acre, Flagg preys on the desperate settlers, selling them what he deceitfully describes as prime farmland at an inflated price of $50 per acre. Unbeknownst to the unsuspecting victims, a governmental order of eminent domain has damned the land they now call home, condemned to be submerged for a new dam's construction. As Stony, one of the Mesquiteers, weaves a romantic tale with the Judge's enchanting granddaughter Marion, their fight becomes personal. They stand as the settlers' only hope against the looming disaster. But with the clock ticking mercilessly, will their efforts be enough to save the Gunsmoke Ranch?
