Amidst the pulsating energy of Hamburg's infamous nightclub 'Ritze', Ali, a lion-hearted woman, labors relentlessly as a cleaner to provide for her two precious children. Yet, beneath her tireless exterior, she nurses an unseen wound - a painful estrangement from her father in Romania after she became an unwed mother. Once hailed as the 'Gypsy Queen', the revered sovereign of all Roma, she now finds herself exiled from her roots. An unexpected encounter with a boxing ring in the Ritze's underbelly one day triggers a torrent of memories, of her father's boxing training and the exhilaration of the sport. Overwhelmed by life's disappointments, Ali channels her pent-up fury onto the punching bag one fateful evening. Tanne, a former boxer and the nightclub's proprietor, witnesses her raw talent and inherent fire. Recognizing the makings of a fighter, he ushers her back into boxing. As she rekindles her love for the sport, Ali sees a glimmer of hope, a chance to rewrite her destiny and reclaim her life.
