Gang (2000)

In the underbelly of the city, four diverse friends unite, forging their futures in crime and coercion. They adopt the moniker G.A.N.G., a symbolic acronym representing their diverse roots - Gangu, the tenacious leader; Abdul, the loyal confidant; Nihal Singh, the daring daredevil; and Gary Rozario, the strategic mind. Despite their contrasting cultural and religious backgrounds, their bond is cemented in trust and friendship, enabling them to triumph in their felonious pursuits. However, their illicit joyride halts when Gangu is apprehended and sentenced to five years behind bars. Before surrendering to his fate, Gangu seeks an oath from his comrades to abandon their criminal lives, to which they reluctantly consent. On his release, Gangu finds solace in his comrades' apparent reformed lives - Abdul now manoeuvre a taxi, his mother is well catered for, and Nihal and Gary have launched legitimate businesses. The moment of elation turns into a whirlwind of shock when Gangu, intending to propose to his beloved Sanam, stumbles upon unsettling truths, unveiling that all is not as rosy as it appears in their world.
