Funny Story (2018)

Walter, a middle-aged TV actor best known for his role in a beloved high-fantasy cult classic, receives an unexpected invitation to his estranged daughter, Nic's, woodland nuptials. Eager for a chance at reconciliation, he embarks on a journey to the heart of the forest where the wedding is set to take place, accompanied by Kim, a charming and seemingly innocent friend of Nic's. A night of drunken karaoke fun culminates in a heated moment of passion between Walter and Kim, only for Walter to later discover, to his horror, that Kim is the woman his daughter is slated to marry. Torn between honesty and preserving tranquility, Walter wrestles with the decision of whether to confess their one-night stand to Nic, a proposition Kim vehemently opposes. Amidst this turmoil, Walter must also navigate the labyrinth of Nic's eclectic and unconventional female companions, adding an extra layer of complexity to the approaching woodland wedding ceremony.
