Plot

A band of perennial mob movie stand-ins gather their courage, determination, and passion to stage Shakespeare's Julius Caesar at their beloved Staten Island theater, eyeing their long-awaited moment in the spotlight. Unbeknownst to them, the theater hides a dual identity, doubling as the clandestine refuge for a genuine mobster with a flair for the dramatic, currently on the FBI's most-wanted list for the recent slaying of a Broadway impresario. As the plot thickens, the Feds cunningly plant an undercover agent amidst the would-be actors, masquerading as an aspirant for the role of Cassius, with the intent to unmask the true villain hidden amongst a troupe of pretend felons. Engrossed in their theatrical dreams, the unsuspecting cast continues to strive for recognition, aspiring to prove their worth to themselves, their loved ones, and their friends, blissfully ignorant of the dangerous game of deception unfolding behind the curtains. Their desire? To finally shed the title of 'just extras'.
