In the quaint town of Gopher City, Kansas, a beauty pageant sets the stage for a tale of ambitions, dreams, and love. Our protagonist, the radiant Elvira Plunkett, wins the contest and sets off for Hollywood, accompanied by her formidable mother and Elmer J. Butz, an earnest agent from their hometown.
