Plot

In the heart of London, David O'Neil, a seasoned plasterer, and Theo, a mature student, have been the epitome of friendship for the past fourteen years, their bond unshakable. However, the tides of their friendship begin to shift as Theo prepares to cohabit with his long-time girlfriend, Hannah, a gifted photographer. A storm of jealousy brews within David, leading him down a manipulative path to fracture the love-infused union, exploiting Hannah's vulnerabilities. The succeeding split leaves David in a complicated puzzle, forcing him to grapple with his concealed homosexuality and the blossoming feelings he harbors for Theo. Eventually, David musters the courage to publicly unveil his sexual orientation and profound affection for Theo. He orchestrates this revelation on the popular talk-show, "Forgive and Forget," hosted by the charismatic Judith Adams. However, this bold move carries a heavy price, unraveling tragic repercussions that threaten to shatter their friendship and David's familial ties. The film, "Forgive and Forget" (2000), gracefully explores the complexities of love, friendship, and self-discovery, set against a backdrop of societal norms and expectations.
