Plot

As time ticks relentlessly forward, the unthinkable becomes a terrifying prediction in the heart-stopping thriller, Flood. The film plunges viewers into the heart of a merciless storm, raging across high seas, that gives birth to a colossal tidal surge. Like an insatiable beast, it roars down England's vulnerable East Coast, crashing uninvited into the Thames Estuary. The relentless waters, mocking mankind's feeble defenses, overwhelm the Barrier, transforming the bustling city of London into an unimaginable aquatic nightmare. Amongst the chaos and terror, the fate of millions rests on the shoulders of top marine engineers and barrier experts, Robert Morrison (Robert Carlyle) and his ex-wife Samantha "Sam" Morrison (Jessalyn Gilsig). Alongside them, Robert's father, the seasoned Professor Leonard Morrison (Sir Tom Courtenay), lends his expertise. This unlikely trio, bound by blood, shared history, and a common purpose, has but a few precious hours to avert total devastation. Flood masterfully explores the chilling reality of a probable disaster in a very real location. It presents the haunting question, not of if, but when London will find itself submerged. The movie serves as a stark reminder of nature's unforgiving power and our own vulnerabilities, delivering a suspenseful viewing experience that leaves you on the edge of your seat.
