Virus (1999)

In the heart of a merciless typhoon, a crew of tugboat sailors find themselves adrift, their vessel crippled by the storm's wrath. Their only hope lies within the eye of the tempest, where a seemingly deserted Russian communication and research ship floats eerily. They venture aboard, finding only a sole, deranged survivor who speaks of a terrifying phenomenon - "intelligent lightning". The safe haven soon transforms into a chilling nightmare as they uncover the horrifying truth - an alien entity has seized control of the ship's advanced computer systems, fabricating an army of mechanical soldiers. These extraterrestrial beings view humanity as a virus to be eradicated, and the crew finds themselves in a deadly game of survival.
