Plot

In the gripping tale of Flesh (1932), Laura Nash, a woman with an embattled past, finds unexpected kindness in Polakai, a humble waiter moonlighting as a wrestler. Yet, her heart stubbornly clings to Nick, her former partner in crime. When she liberates Nick from the iron grip of incarceration, she discloses her pregnancy, prompting him to flee to the land of opportunities, America. Undeterred, Laura seeks solace in a union with Polakai, whose adoration for her is as vast as the German landscapes they leave behind. Propelled by his unwavering spirit, Polakai ascends to the throne of Germany's wrestling world. Yet, Laura's past continues to haunt her, steering them towards America, where she reunites with Nick. With the dust of the wrestling ring as his throne, Polakai, unaware of Laura's lingering affections for Nick, naively hands over his career's reins to him. He yearns for fair bouts, but Nick, along with his shady associate, Joe, sees only dollar signs in the sweat and blood of the wrestling ring. As Polakai grapples with his adversaries in the wrestling world, little does he realize the brewing storm in his personal life. The intricate interplay of love, desire, and betrayal sets the stage for a compelling narrative in Flesh (1932).
