First Snow (2006)

Brimming with self-confidence and a razor-sharp tongue, Jimmy Starks is a charismatic salesman on the cusp of his life-changing breakthrough. A chance encounter with a roadside fortune-teller during an unexpected car breakdown foretells an impending windfall. When his boss uncharacteristically decides to financially support his business venture, it appears the prophecy is coming true. However, instead of basking in his imminent success, Jimmy finds himself sinking into a pit of paranoia. His lover, Deirdre, and his closest ally, business partner Ed, watch helplessly as he spirals, haunted by past transgressions. The specter of a betrayed friend, Vince, recently released from prison, looms ominously in the background. As the season shifts and frost begins to bite, Jimmy is gripped by the fortune-teller's other, more chilling prediction. As the first snowflakes fall, he's consumed by the fear that there may be no tomorrow waiting for him after the first snow.
