Fireball (2009)

In the heart of the flame-ravaged town, we meet Ava Williams, a single, tenacious fire inspector whose expertise and fearlessness have been honed through the fiery trials left behind by her beloved father. Convinced she's witnessed all the fury fire can unleash, Ava's world ignites when she is thrust into an investigation of a mysterious inferno at the local jail, a probe that promises more heat than she's ever encountered. On the ashes of this calamity, she crosses paths with the audacious Federal Investigator Lee Cooper, there to apprehend one of the jail's notorious inmates, Tyler "The Fuse" Draven. Draven, a notorious celebrity and habitual abuser of experimental sports drugs, is notorious for his explosive temper, which landed him in jail for assaulting a news crew and breaking his parole. Surviving the inferno but severely wounded, Draven orchestrates a daring escape from the hospital, leaving a trail of blazing destruction in his wake. As Draven vanishes, Cooper plunges into the relentless pursuit of the bad-boy celebrity, leaving Ava to wrestle with the enigmatic series of fires and lethal fireballs that plague their community. As Ava delves deeper into the smoking ruins, she unearths shocking evidence of Draven's incendiary vendetta against those who have crossed him. She finds herself embroiled in a desperate race against time to convince Cooper of the monstrous threat Draven presents. Together, they must douse their differences and devise a strategy to extinguish Draven's fiery reign of terror before he reaches the nuclear power plant. They soon realize, however, that to quell a firestorm of this magnitude, they must fight fire with fire, as they prepare to confront a madman hell-bent on total annihilation.
