Eddie Tor Swenson is a quintessential family man, a gentle soul submerged in the world of art and drama films as a respected editor at a top-tier studio. However, the equilibrium of his life is disrupted when a tragic suicide claims their original editor, compelling heartless executive Sam Campbell to transfer Ed to a darker domain - the Splatter & Gore Department. Thrust into the bloody realm of the highly profitable yet disturbingly violent Loose Limbs series, Ed is shipped off to Sam's remote country cottage, supposedly to work in tranquil solitude. However, the isolation paired with the relentless exposure to the savage content of the films he's tasked to edit begins to fracture Ed's sanity. The tranquil veil of the cottage is gradually replaced by a haunting atmosphere, where Ed's hallucinations begin to take monstrous forms. This constant immersion in graphic violence and horror ignites a transformation, leading to the emergence of his sinister alter-ego, Evil Ed. As Ed's grip on reality loosens, it threatens all who gravitate in his orbit, from the unsuspecting film-obsessed warehouse worker to his own unsuspecting family.
