Plot

In the serene solitude of Elmira, NY, resides Frank Goode, a recent widower with a heart condition, whose world once revolved around his factory job and the four children he single-handedly nudged towards success. However, when his adult offspring abruptly cancel their annual summer reunion, Frank's quiet existence is shattered. Ignoring his doctor's cautionary advice, he embarks on a spontaneous journey to surprise each child, traversing the vibrant streets of New York City, the bustling avenues of Chicago, the scenic expanses of Denver, and the dazzling spectacle of Las Vegas. On his journey, Frank aims to reconnect with his artist son, his high-powered advertising executive daughter, his son who's a globe-trotting conductor, and his performer daughter who lights up the Vegas stage. But as he steps into their worlds, he uncovers a reality far removed from his expectations. Their lives, teeming with complexities and struggles, are a stark contrast to the success stories they've painted for him. As Frank delves deeper into the lives of his children, he becomes a silent observer to the rift between their realities and their representations. Faced with the truth about his children's lives, the question arises - can they open up to their father, allowing him to see them as they truly are? And can this doting dad, armed with nothing but love and concern, adapt to these revelations? The journey unravels the layers of familial ties, unspoken truths, and the resilience of a father's love.
