In the world of cuisine and crafts, Liz Livingstone reigns supreme - an author, TV star, and virtuoso, her name is a beacon of excellence. Yet, Candace's culinary skills are as raw as the ingredients she can't cook, and her crafting abilities are as tangled as the thread she can't sew. When a heartfelt video request for Liz to welcome a military father home for Christmas emerges online, Candace is thrust into the spotlight as her mother's proxy, in a bid to prove her worth to the Livingstone brand's board of directors. With the pressure mounting, Candace must navigate through a minefield of new experiences, striving to make a mark and secure her future. However, the festive season brings an unexpected twist when she crosses paths with Uncle John - a local reporter and the uncle to the young girl who made the online request. As Candace steps into her mother's shoes, she must deal with the unexpected challenges that arise, proving that the holiday season is indeed full of surprises.
