Silent Night, Deadly Night (1984)

In the chilling winter of 1971, on the eve of Christmas, a seemingly ordinary family excursion to a nursing home takes an eerie turn. Five-year-old Billy and his baby brother Ricky visit their catatonic grandfather. When Billy is left alone, the grandfather awakens unexpectedly, planting a seed of fear in the young boy's heart with a foreboding warning about Santa Claus, the punisher of the naughty. The journey home shatters Billy's innocence as a man posing as Santa Claus brutally murders his parents right before his eyes.
