A product of the transient Washington D.C. foster care system, Elliot, aged 31, has led a life characterized by constant change. His world takes a poignant turn when he receives a call from Matthew, a close friend from his past, now grappling with terminal cancer. Journeying to be by Matthew's side, Elliot finds himself intertwined with Gray and Lily, two of Matthew's friends, each lost in their own life drifts.
