Dushman (1998)

In the heart of India, twin sisters Sonia and Naina Sehgal (both portrayed by Kajol) lead remarkably disparate lives. Sonia, the vivacious and outgoing twin, contrasts sharply with the introverted and reserved Naina. Their lives, however, entwine in an unexpected and terrifying turn when a ruthless predator, Gokul Pandit (Ashutosh Rana), enters their world. Gokul, a remorseless man with an insatiable lust for violence, sets his sights on Naina but leaves a path of devastation in his wake when he brutally ends Sonia’s life. Naina, consumed by grief and vengeance, pledges to hunt down the monster who stole her sister from her. In her pursuit of justice, she stumbles upon Major Suraj Singh Rathod (Sanjay Dutt), a blind ex-military officer living in self-imposed isolation, and seeks his assistance. Suraj, despite his own battles, takes Naina under his wing, helping her confront her fear of Gokul and equipping her to face the killer physically and mentally. However, a rift ensues between them, and Suraj distances himself from Naina. Resolute and undeterred, Naina decides to face Gokul alone, disregarding the dangers that await her. She embarks on a perilous investigation, risking her own life to gather information about Gokul's whereabouts. "Dushman" is a chilling tale of courage, resilience, and the resounding power of a sister's love, as Naina confronts not just her fear but the embodiment of evil in her brave pursuit of justice.
