Plot

In New York's iconic Millennium Building, an ominous presence stirs. The express elevators, the building's pulsing arteries, begin to falter and malfunction in the most perplexing ways. Dispatched to investigate is the skilled elevator mechanic, Mark Newman, a man accustomed to dealing with cables and circuits but not the enigmatic resistance he encounters. His presence seems to churn up a discomfort within the building's inhabitants, his involvement unwelcome. A series of grisly accidents, like a blind man plummeting into the elevator shaft and a security guard meeting a decapitated end, turn the building into a chilling crime scene. The police grapple with the inexplicable incidents, their investigation hitting dead-end after dead-end. Undeterred, Mark is resolute in his mission, his determination spiking as the building's secret continues to elude him. Joining him is Jennifer, an audacious reporter hungry for a tantalizing scoop. Together, they delve into the mysteries shrouding the erratic behavior of the elevator - an inanimate object seemingly imbued with a sinister life of its own. As the death toll spikes and the situation spirals, the government steps in, suspecting terrorist involvement and seals off the building. What initially appeared to be a routine task rapidly mutates into a terrifying nightmare for Mark. He finds himself pitted against an enemy whose thirst for blood is only rivaled by its unpredictability. An insidious adversary, entrenched within the building's very core, ready to defend its dark secret. An enemy that incites fear. An enemy that must be taken...DOWN.
