Plot
Dr. Patrick "Pat" J. Cory, a brilliant scientist, is engrossed in groundbreaking brain research assisted by his loyal friend Dr. Frank Schratt and dutiful wife Janice Cory. Their experiments, conducted amidst the beeping monitors and sterile atmosphere of a home-laboratory, primarily involve primate subjects. But fate intervenes when a plane crashes nearby, leaving only one survivor clinging to life - the wealthy yet notoriously ruthless Warren H. Donovan.
Despite their best efforts, Donovan's life slips away, but not before Dr. Cory makes a daring decision to preserve the millionaire's brain, sustaining it in a sterile tank within his laboratory. As Pat, Schratt, and Janice delve into Donovan's past, they unearth disturbing truths about his nefarious persona.
However, the line between scientist and subject blurs ominously as Donovan's brain begins to impose its malevolent will on Dr. Cory, possessing him in a chilling bid to eliminate adversaries and reclaim a physical existence. Witnessing Dr. Cory's frightening transformation, Schratt and Janice are plunged into a desperate struggle to annihilate the brain and save their friend.
