Plot

In the chilling winter of 1846, the Sierra Nevada mountains bear witness to a gruesome tale; at Donner Pass, a man, driven to the brink of madness by hunger, succumbs to cannibalism, murdering three others for their flesh. A terrified boy, the sole witness, escapes, leaving the horrifying tale behind. Fast-forward to the present, where the unsuspecting teenagers Kayley, Mike, Nicole, and the misfit Thomas journey to the secluded house nestled in Donner Pass. The house, owned by Thomas's parents who are away in Europe, holds secrets that the friends are yet to unlock. Thomas, aware of his parents' ignorance about their weekend stay, urges caution. Their tranquility is disrupted when they learn that law enforcement is on the tail of the infamous criminal, James Michael Epstein. Adding to the chaos, Nicole's rebellious boyfriend, Derek, arrives uninvited with his friends Brody, Valerie, and A.J. Despite Thomas's objections, they persist, unknowingly stepping into a nightmare. When their beer supply dwindles, Brody ventures into town, only to mysteriously disappear. His chillingly mutilated body is discovered by Mike, Kayley, and Thomas, sparking a wave of terror. The horror escalates as Valerie is brutally murdered near the house, and their only means of escape, the car, is sabotaged. As the terror grips the group, a haunting question lingers — could the cannibalistic horrors of the past be repeating themselves in the present? The chilling echoes of history and the gruesome reality of the present intertwine in Donner Pass, a tale of survival, horror, and the darkest corners of human nature.
