Plot

Haunted by the specters of war, Vincent Loreau (Matthias Schoenaerts), a decorated French Special Forces soldier recently returned from the desolate landscapes of Afghanistan, grapples with the insidious grasp of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. His new mission, far from the battlefield, plunges him into the sun-soaked splendor of the South of France, in a grand estate known as "Maryland." Serving as a bodyguard, Vincent is entrusted with the lives of Jessie, the elegant wife of a wealthy Lebanese tycoon, and her child. Despite the gilded tranquility of their surroundings, Vincent's war-torn psyche crafts a different reality. His world is one of perceived threats and lurking danger, a battlefield of the mind where his enemy is invisible yet omnipresent. As he navigates the intricate labyrinth of his duty, Vincent finds himself ensnared by a complex fascination for the woman he is sworn to protect. This unspoken connection, a dance of intrigue and tension, only serves to heighten his anxiety and feed his hallucinations. In this psychological thriller, "Disorder" weaves an intricate web of suspense, where the tranquility of the French Riviera serves as a stark contrast to the chaos within Vincent's mind. Will he succumb to the ghosts of his past, or will he conquer his demons to protect those entrusted to his care? The answer lies within the grand walls of "Maryland," where reality and illusion are as interchangeable as peace and war.
