Plot
In the heart of the political whirlwind, teenager Miriam Wilkins, the bold and idealistic daughter of Senator Wilkins, embarks on a mission of redemption. She establishes the Society for the Rehabilitation of Criminals, a radical initiative aimed at turning the lives of ex-convicts around. Without seeking her father's approval, she slyly installs him as the honorary president, nudging him into the forefront of her well-intentioned but tumultuous endeavor.
The Wilkins household welcomes a new gardener, Baxter, whose past is tainted with notoriety. He stands as a living emblem of Miriam's cause, once sentenced by Senator Wilkins himself during his tenure as a judge. When the Senator's initial instinct is to dismiss Baxter, Miriam reminds him of the irony given his symbolic role in her society.
As the plot thickens, a medley of characters stir the narrative pot. Albert, a nitpicking banker and former suitor of Miriam's already wedded elder sister, adds a dash of romantic tension. Further domestic misunderstandings arise between Baxter and his wife, as well as between Miriam's sister and her husband. These intertwining relationships set the stage for a comedic cascade of events in "Dear Brat," a film that masterfully blends humor, drama, and societal critique.
