In the lush landscapes of Kerala, author Vinay Shankaran, grappling with his strained relationship with Sandra, his Caucasian reporter wife, and managing the health of his diabetic son, Samuel, finds his way back home. His return stirs the region's quiet waters as he reunites with Captain Frederick Brown, the offspring of a once influential Mayor, whose life was allegedly claimed under mysterious circumstances.
