In the twilight of the nineteenth century, a radiant New Yorker named Annie 'Daisy' Miller embarks on a grand European adventure. Alongside her mother, Mrs. Ezra Miller, her sharp-witted adolescent brother, Randolph, and their loyal manservant, Eugenio, Daisy's journey takes her from the rustic charm of Schenectady to the resplendent landscapes of Europe. Their travels bring them to the picturesque Swiss town of Vevey, where Daisy's path intertwines with that of Frederick Winterbourne, an American expatriate engrossed in his studies in Geneva. Frederick finds himself drawn to Daisy, captivated by her beauty, yet perplexed by her unorthodox American sensibilities. He views her free-spirited demeanor as a stark contrast to the rigidity of his own societal circles, a perception echoed by his travel companion, the ever-judgmental Mrs. Costello.
