Daag: The Fire (1999)

In the searing labyrinth of a corrupt legal system, Ravi Verma, a lawyer of unyielding ruthlessness, crafts his career around bending the law to suit the needs of his influential father-in-law, Tejeshwar Singhal, and his powerful associates. Ravi's life takes an ominous turn when Satyaprakash, an upright Municipal Commissioner, is falsely convicted and imprisoned under trumped-up charges. Unbeknownst to Ravi, this act of injustice is the spark that ignites a deadly feud. In a tragic turn of events, Satyaprakash meets his demise in prison, cleverly staged as a suicide by Tejeshwar's scheming friends. The news of his father's dishonour and death reaches Karan, Satyaprakash's son and a former soldier, fuelling his resolve to seek vengeance against Ravi.
