Plot

"D Company" is a riveting trilogy of independent short films, each presenting a unique story that intertwines with the others, forming a coherent and intriguing tale. The first segment, "Oru Bolivian Diary 1995," delves into the heart of a jungle teeming with tribal life. This is where we meet Chaukidar, an influential North Indian Maoist leader, brilliantly portrayed by Samuthirakani. He ventures into Wayanad to disseminate his radical ideologies among the local tribes. The narrative intensifies as a determined police inspector, Narain, embarks on a relentless manhunt for Chaukidar. As he unfolds the story to a reporter 15 years later, we're introduced to Chinnan, a tribal youth who forms a deep bond with Chaukidar. Moving from the lush jungle to the bustling city, the second film, "Gangs of Vadakkumnathan," immerses us in the tumultuous world of gang wars, set against a backdrop steeped in religious undertones. Jayasurya transforms into Varaalu Jaison, a notorious rowdy from Thrissur, while Unni Mukundan exudes menace as a ruthless police officer. The segment teems with tension as rivalries flare in the shadowy underbelly of Thrissur. Finally, "Godse" takes us into the conflicted mind of Nathuram Vinayak Godse, masterfully played by Prithviraj. The film explores the emotional turmoil Godse experiences on the eve of his fateful act - the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi. "D Company" is a masterly crafted trilogy that explores the depths of human emotion and conflict, set against diverse backdrops, from the depths of a tribal jungle to the gritty streets of Thrissur, and the historical turmoil of a nation.
