In the heart of Paris, 1897, the youthful yet burdened playwright, Edmond Rostand, dwells in a maelstrom of creativity and fear. Despite having two children to care for and a gnawing writer's block that has left him with an empty portfolio for two years, Edmond is driven by his desperation and audacity. He boldly proposes an unwritten play to the esteemed actor, Constant Coquelin, promising a heroic comedy in verse, intended to be the toast of the holiday season.
