Creature from the Haunted Sea (1961)

In the tumultuous aftermath of the Cuban Revolution, a wily American mobster, Renzo Capetto, and his beguiling lover, Mary-Belle Monahan, find themselves embroiled in a high-stakes game of danger and deceit. Seeing an opportunity amidst the chaos, Renzo offers safe passage to the United States for a band of Cuban exiles, led by the steadfast General Tostada, along with the Cuban national treasury. This treasure is intended to fund a counterrevolution against Castro, but Renzo and his motley crew, including the jovial Pete Peterson Jr., the sly Happy Jack Monahan, and the enigmatic Sparks Moran (unbeknownst to them, the American Agent XK150), have a different plan in mind. In a scheme dripping with treachery, they plot to snatch the treasure away from the Cuban people, intending to fabricate a mythical sea monster to redirect their voyage to San Juan and cover up their plan to eliminate the Cuban soldiers. Their grand scheme is seemingly flawless, that is, until they encounter an unexpected twist of fate — the sea monster of their creation is not just a figment of their imagination but a terrifying reality! As the waters darken and the waves roar, the crew finds themselves locked in a battle for survival against the creature from the haunted sea, their greed-induced plot spiraling into a thrilling spectacle of horror and suspense. With each passing moment, the sea's chilling depths become a deadly battleground, testing their bonds of loyalty, courage, and cunning amidst a burgeoning threat from the deep.
