Colossal (2017)

Gloria has hit rock bottom. She's an alcoholic who has lost her job, her boyfriend, and her New York City apartment in quick succession. Left with no other options, Gloria moves back to her hometown. She reconnects with her childhood friend Oscar and gets a job at his bar. They start seeing news reports that a Godzilla-like monster is destroying Seoul. Gloria starts to suspect that her movements and the monster's are connected somehow. She needs to figure out what's going on before it's too late.
