Cold Harbour (2014)

In the gritty streets of a township, SIZWE MIYA, a determined cop, stumbles upon an opportunity to ascend the ranks when a Triad murder case falls into his lap. This bloody puzzle is anything but ordinary, intricately knotted with a seedy abalone smuggling scheme that reaches into the darkest corners of the criminal underworld. As Sizwe steps into the shadowy labyrinth of crime, his boss VENSKE assigns a greenhorn cop to shadow him, adding an extra layer of challenge to the game. Guided by a hot tip from Specialist, Sizwe scores a major victory with an abalone bust. But his triumph is short-lived as the seized contraband vanishes within hours. Despite this setback, Sizwe earns his promotion to detective, a bitter and hollow victory as he starts to realize he's merely a pawn in a game of treachery and corruption. In an unforgiving world where loyalty is a forgotten virtue, drowned by the tidal wave of self-interest, Sizwe finds himself alone.
