Plot

In the vibrant heart of Paris, 1913, Coco Chanel finds herself torn between her love for the affluent Boy Capel and her burgeoning career. At the same time, Igor Stravinsky's controversial masterpiece, The Rite of Spring, is on the brink of its premiere. Coco and Igor, both visionaries in their respective fields, share an ambition to revolutionize, she in fashion and he in music. Coco, draped in a stylish white dress, attends the scandalous debut of The Rite, which is met with criticism for its avant-garde nature. Coco is inspired, but Igor is devastated. Fast forward to 1920, Coco has amassed wealth and fame but is haunted by Capel's tragic demise in a car accident. Igor, on the other hand, is a destitute exile, having fled the Russian Revolution. The paths of these two extraordinary characters cross when Diaghilev, the impresario of the Ballets Russes, introduces them. The chemistry between Coco and Igor is immediate and explosive. In a gesture of kindness, or perhaps something more, Coco extends an invitation to Igor, his ailing wife, their four children, and their bird collection to reside in her luxurious villa, Bel Respiro, in Garches. This sets the stage for a tale of passion, ambition, and the beautiful struggle of two artists navigating their personal and professional lives in the tumultuous world of 1920s Paris.
