In the quaint town of Del Vista, California, Kristi North inhabits an enchanting seasonal role, dedicating two months of her year to the magical task of penning responses to children's letters to Santa Claus. This unique profession, a well-kept secret of her true identity as Santa's daughter, takes her to different postal outlets every year. This year, she finds herself under the rule of Richard Fuller, an unyieldingly pragmatic manager devoid of Christmas spirit, who views Kristi's arrival with suspicion and believes her to be a spy from corporate headquarters. In a twisted turn of events, Fuller enlists the help of the humble and kind-hearted carrier, Matt Sanders, assigning him the covert operation of keeping an eye on Kristi. Matt, struggling as a single guardian to his orphaned eight-year-old niece Emily, reluctantly accepts the task, driven by the urgent need for financial stability.
