Christmas in Rome (2019)

In the heart of Rome, American Angela de Luca is more than a tour guide, she’s an ambassador of the untold stories etched into the city's stones, often overlooked by standard guidebooks. Her fervor, however, lands her in hot water when she's dismissed by her boss, Tomasso Toffino, days before Christmas for refusing to adhere to the typical "tourist hot spots" protocol. Lost in contemplation about her uncertain future, Angela stumbles upon Oliver Martin, a businessman from New York working for Fiske and Drummond, an acquisitions firm. Oliver, in Rome to secure a deal with the renowned Italian ceramics company Forlinghetti, is all business, viewing the festive season as a golden opportunity to strike deals when others are too engrossed in holiday cheer. Oliver's promotion to vice-president hangs in the balance of this deal, and Angela quickly realizes that Oliver's hardline financial strategy won't sit well with Forlinghetti, a traditionalist who values Italian heritage as much as, if not more than, money. With Oliver's knowledge of Italian customs as shallow as a Roman puddle, he employs Angela as his cultural navigator through the negotiations. In exchange, Oliver pledges to help Angela devise a business plan for her dream tour company, offering niche, seasonal tours such as a Christmas special. As Angela unveils the enchanting allure of Rome during the holiday season, both find themselves irresistibly drawn to each other. Their burgeoning romance, however, faces the test of their diverse lifestyles and the vast geographical distance between them. Whether love prevails hinges on their intertwined business futures and their ability to reconcile their differing worlds.
