Born into the world of former demimondaine, Charlotte Peloux, Chéri is an attractive youth, constantly surrounded by his mother's circle of friends, all high-class courtesans past their prime. Among these is Léa de Lonval, a fading beauty who has successfully navigated the courtesan landscape. Asked by Charlotte to guide her son, Léa soon finds herself in an unexpected affair with Chéri, a relationship that transcends the boundaries of love and lust, morphing into a connection that resonates with the warmth of a mother and the intimacy of a lover. Their relationship, lasting six surprising years, becomes a testament to their mutual attraction and understanding.
