In the heart of the Christmas season, Sgt. Major JOHN FROST returns from his final deployment, unexpectedly early due to a haunting incident of PTSD. To his surprise, a small dog named CHARLIE, who is far from his preference, has joined their family during his absence. JILL, the spirited owner of JILL'S CAKES AND BAKES, struggles to keep the family afloat financially, overbooking her catering business for holiday parties. Amidst the Christmas chaos, she forgets a crucial wedding event. John, feeling alienated at home, seeks companionship with fellow veterans at the local Moose Lodge. A turning point arrives when CHARLIE finds HANK, a retired Vietnam vet and John's friend, who has suffered a heart attack and is revealed to be homeless, seeking refuge in a makeshift tent camp alongside CAPT. JACK. Moved by their plight, John rallies his family, friends, and the community in a heartwarming endeavor to build a new home for the forsaken veterans. Together, they strive to gift them a memorable Christmas Eve, igniting a beacon of hope for their transition into civilian life.
